As part of March's Youth Art Month festivities in Kewaunee County, Yardstick is delighted to offer a Comic Workshop for students aged 8+ taught by Green Bay graphic artist and illustrator, Aaron Renier. Each participant will create their own black and white comic or traditional zine out of one folded piece of paper. The class is free and all materials are included. This class is full!
Aaron Renier is the author of three graphic novels for younger readers: Spiral-Bound, The Unsinkable Walker Bean, and The Unsinkable Walker Bean and the Knights of the Waxing Moon. He has illustrated several children's books by Daniel Pinkwater, including, most recently, Kat Hats in 2022. He has received the Eisner Award for Talent Deserving of Wider Recognition and was an inaugural resident for the Sendak Fellowship. He lives in Green Bay.
